A mood ring size chart converts your finger measurement into a ring size. Mood rings do not share one universal size range: fixed rings use standard US, UK and EU sizes, while adjustable rings cover a range set by each maker. Use the chart below, then confirm with the product listing.

How Mood Rings Are Sized

A mood ring is sized like any other ring: by the inside diameter or circumference of the band. The stone that changes colour does not affect the size. This guide covers fit only; it does not explain what the colours mean.

There are two kinds of mood ring. A fixed-size ring is a closed band made in one size, such as US 7. An adjustable ring has an open or flexible band that you squeeze or open to fit. Adjustable rings are often sold as “one size” or “small/large”, but the real range differs between makers, so no universal mood ring size range exists. Mood Ring Size Conversion Chart (MM, Inches, US, UK, EU)

Inner diameter is the width across the inside of the band. Inner circumference is the distance around it. Highlighted rows are common reference points.

Formulas used: circumference = π × diameter; inches = mm ÷ 25.4; EU size = inner circumference in mm, rounded. UK letters are matched to the nearest published inner diameter. Sizes vary slightly by brand.

Women’s Mood Ring Sizes

Women’s ring sizes commonly fall between about US 5 and US 9, though finger size varies widely. Many mood rings for women are adjustable. If the listing gives a US size, find it below and compare the diameter with a ring that fits you well.

Men’s Mood Ring Sizes

For an adjustable ring, find your size on the chart, then check that it sits inside the range the seller states. Do not rely on “fits all” claims.

How to Measure Mood Ring Size in MM and Inches

Measure an Existing Ring

1. Choose a ring that fits the same finger comfortably.
2. Lay it flat and measure the inside width at its widest point, in mm.
3. Find the nearest value in the “Inner diameter (mm)” column.
4. Multiply the diameter by 3.1416 to check the circumference.

Measure Finger Circumference with a Paper Strip

1. Cut a strip of paper about 10 mm wide and 150 mm long.
2. Wrap it around the base of your finger and mark where it overlaps.
3. Lay the strip flat and measure from the end to the mark in mm.
4. Match the result to the “Inner circumference (mm)” column. Use string or a tape measure the same way.

How to Choose the Right Mood Ring Size

• Know the type. Fixed or adjustable? The listing should say.
• Use millimetres. Compare your circumference with the chart and the seller’s size notes.
• Check the knuckle. The ring must pass over it and still sit snugly.
• Consider band width. Wide bands feel tighter; go up a half size if between sizes.
• Test the fit. It should turn with slight effort and not slip off.

Can Mood Rings Be Resized?

Adjustable mood rings can be opened or closed by hand within their range. Fixed rings are harder to resize, especially plated bands and set stones, and heat can damage the stone.
