Spinner Ring Size Chart: Sizes in MM, Inches, US, UK & EU
A spinner ring size chart converts your finger measurement into a ring size. Spinner rings use the same US, UK and EU sizes as other rings, but the extra outer band that spins around the inner band adds width and bulk, so they can feel tighter than a plain band of the same size. Use the chart below to find your size, then read the fit tips for men’s and women’s spinner rings.
How Spinner Rings Are Sized
A spinner ring has an outer band that turns freely around a fixed inner band. Spinner rings are also sold as fidget, worry or meditation rings. The spinning part is for fidgeting and style; it does not change how the ring is sized. Like any other ring, it is sized by the inside diameter or circumference of the inner band. The ISO 8653 standard defines ring size by inside circumference in millimetres; see the ring size overview for background.
What makes spinner rings different is the build. The two-part, double-layer construction is often wider and thicker than a plain band, so a ring that matches your measurement on paper can still feel snug across the width of the band or at the knuckle. If the fit is too tight, the outer band may also spin stiffly or catch against the finger.

Inner diameter is the width across the inside of the band. Inner circumference is the distance around it. Highlighted rows are common reference points.

Spinner Rings vs Single Bands: Should You Size Up?
A broad, two-layer band has more contact with the skin and can be harder to slide over the knuckle. If you are between sizes, or the spinner band is wide, many people choose a quarter to a half size larger. Spinner rings can also feel different when the outer band spins freely, so check the seller’s size notes and return policy, because the width and construction differ from maker to maker.
| Style | Typical build | Fit tip |
|---|---|---|
| Slim spinner band | Narrow outer band over a thin inner band | True size often fits; check the knuckle |
| Wide or chunky spinner | Broad double layer, heavier | Consider a quarter to half size up if between sizes |
| Decorated or textured spinner | Engraved or patterned outer band | Confirm size notes, as thickness varies by maker |
Women’s Spinner Ring Sizes
Women’s spinner rings are most often worn on the ring finger, commonly between about US 5 and US 9, though many people fall outside that range. See also the women’s ring size chart.

Men’s Spinner Ring Sizes
Spinner rings are popular as men’s rings and are commonly bought in sizes from about US 8 to US 13. Wide spinner bands can feel tighter, so consider a quarter to a half size more if you are between sizes. See also the men’s ring size chart.

How to Measure Spinner Ring Size in MM and Inches
Millimetres are the most accurate unit. Convert to inches by dividing by 25.4. Our how to measure your ring size guide and the ring size calculator cover more methods.
Measure an Existing Ring
- Choose a ring that fits the same finger comfortably.
- Lay it flat and measure the inside width at its widest point, in mm.
- Find the nearest value in the “Inner diameter (mm)” column.
- Multiply the diameter by 3.1416 to check the circumference.
Measure Finger Circumference with a Paper Strip
- Cut a strip of paper about 10 mm wide and 150 mm long.
- Wrap it around the base of the finger you will wear the ring on and mark where it overlaps.
- Lay the strip flat and measure from the end to the mark in mm.
- Match the result to the “Inner circumference (mm)” column. Use string or a tape measure the same way.
How to Choose the Right Spinner Ring Size
- Pick the finger first. Measure the finger you will actually wear the ring on.
- Use millimetres. Compare your circumference with the chart and the seller’s size notes.
- Check the band width and the spin. Wide spinner bands can feel tighter; go up a quarter to a half size if between sizes.
- Check the knuckle. The ring must pass over it and still sit snugly, with the outer band free to spin.
- Test the fit. It should turn with slight effort and not slip off when your hand is relaxed.
Can Spinner Rings Be Resized?
Often not easily, so ask the seller or a jeweller before you buy or alter one. A spinner ring is made of two parts, an inner band and a moving outer band, and cutting or stretching the inner band can stop the outer band spinning smoothly. Many makers prefer to remake the ring in a new size, and some offer exchanges instead. Related guides: US ring size chart, UK ring size chart and ring size conversion chart.
Spinner Ring Size FAQs
What size is a spinner ring?
There is no single spinner ring size. Spinner rings are made in the same US, UK and EU sizes as other rings, so the size you need depends on your finger. Measure your finger in millimetres and match it to the chart on this page.
Do spinner rings fit tighter than normal rings?
Often they can, because the double-layer build is wider and thicker than a plain band. If you are between sizes, many people go up a quarter to a half size, but check the seller’s size notes.
Should I size up for a spinner ring?
Often a quarter to a half size up is a sensible choice for a wide spinner band, because the extra width covers more of the finger. A slim spinner band may fit true to size. The seller’s size guide and return policy are worth checking.
Can a spinner ring be resized?
Often not easily. The ring has an inner band and a moving outer band, and altering the inner band can stop the outer band spinning smoothly. Many makers prefer to remake or exchange the ring, so ask before you buy.
What size spinner ring does a man usually wear?
Men’s spinner rings are commonly bought between about US 8 and US 13, but the right size depends on the finger and the width of the ring. Measure the finger you will wear it on rather than relying on a typical size.
How do I measure my finger for a spinner ring?
Wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark the overlap and measure the length in millimetres. Match that circumference to the chart. Measure at the end of the day and repeat three times.
Why does my spinner ring spin stiffly or catch?
A spinner ring that is too tight can press the inner band against the finger and make the outer band stiff or sticky. It can also be caused by dirt or wear, so check the fit and the construction before assuming the size is wrong.
Are spinner ring sizes different from other ring sizes?
No. They use the same standard size scales as other rings. The difference is in the fit, because the wider two-part band of many spinner rings can feel tighter than a slim plain band in the same size.
